Born and raised in South Africa but with Mauritian roots, Chris and his family moved to Mauritius 15 years ago and have lived on both the West coast and the North of the island. With over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, Chris brings a strong international network. With the added advantage of speaking French, he specializes in the European market, yet holds strong ties with the South African Market.

Timo Geldenhuys, Partner at Mauritius Sotheby’s International Realty

A 19-year veteran in the Mauritian real estate industry, Timo and his then-young family moved to Mauritius in 2005. Timo has held various senior positions within the property sector in Mauritius, including playing an instrumental role in bringing Mauritius Sotheby’s International Realty(MSIR) to the island in 2015. Timo and partner Chris Lazare subsequently acquired the brand outright in 2020.

Timo specialises in the international market and also serves as a development and marketing consultant to some of the leading property developers in Mauritius.
