Construction of Welgevonden Park, Welgevonden Estate’s new leisure facility and the new home of the HOA offices, is making steady progress.

Designed to enhance Welgevonden Estate, this multimillion rand project will introduce a range of facilities: a swimming pool with a children’s pool, two tennis and two padel courts with floodlights, pétanque courts, a bicycle track, an enclosed dog park, a welcoming clubhouse with a braai area and patio, landscaped gardens and walkways, and ample parking. ‘The estate has, over more than 25 years, evolved into a well-established community, now mature in its development and known for its extensive parks, meticulous landscaping and strong culture of property care,’ says HOA chairperson Etienne Gunter. ‘Together with the upgraded Welgevonden dam — a beautifully landscaped leisure attraction that already sets the estate apart — it’s easy to see why residents fondly refer to living here as the Welgevonden way of life.’

Gunter adds that investing in Welgevonden Park is a strategic step forward. ‘It strengthens property value, enhances our lifestyle offering, and creates more opportunities for residents to relax and reconnect.’ Estate manager Gawie Marx agrees. He notes that the project reflects modern living trends, with families and individuals increasingly preferring to have high-quality leisure options close to home.

‘Welgevonden Park supports this shift and reinforces the estate’s appeal,’ Marx says. ‘As estate living grows across the Cape Winelands, Welgevonden Park will help sustain and further strengthen the long-term value of the estate and ensure that it stands out as a preferred residential address in the Winelands.’
